Style 85 Harp Duo in Windermere
Friday 6th November 2015 @7:30pm
Address: Church Street
Town: Windermere
Venue Telephone: 015394 44596
Style 85 Harp Duo will be bringing their concert to Windermere this November 6th 2015. AnnaKate and Gwen are both professional harpists, who initially met while attending the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. They both studied with Karen Vaughan, who was the co-principal harpist for the London Symphony Orchestra and used to fly to Glasgow to tutor them. Performing in orchestras together and being college friends, it was only natural for AnnaKate and Gwen to continue working with each other and so they formed a harp duo.
In their individual careers they have played in an array of venues throughout the UK and between them have been honoured to play for the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Opera, Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC 2 Radio Folk awards 2015.
Tickets for the concert at St.Mary’s can be bought in advance by contacting the parish office on 015394 44596 / office@stmaryswindermere.co.uk or alternatively tickets can be purchased on the door. Tickets are £8 which includes a drink. AnnaKate and Gwen are sure you will enjoy seeing these beautiful instruments and hearing the impressive sound of two pedal harps in concert.
