Naomi – October 2011

Myself and my mum had a weekend break with the offer ‘Girls Great escape’ and I would just like to say a big thank you for making our stay so lovely. The reception staff were lovely and very welcoming, we had spa treatment by a girl called Jodie who was great and really helped us relax. The evening meal was super.

Again a big thank you to all the staff at the hotel.

We will be coming back again.

Just dropping you a quick email to say thanks for a lovely weekend break at the Whitewater Hotel Spa. Kristian and I very much enjoyed our stay. Definitely have the Monday blues now being back at work. Thanks again for the hospitality at the Hotel. Would love to visit again in the future. Regards to Noel and Paul at the Blue Bar too. We have just received a feedback for your hotel from the tour leader of our group arrived on 11/AUG/2011 and stayed for 1night.

I have heard that they had a very comfortable stay and really enjoyed their time there.
Especially, they all said that 3course dinner was excellent!
From guests’ questionnaire after touring all around UK for 5days, your hotel dinner has been chosen to the best meal for them.

We will have a similar tour next summer as well and do hope to have opportunities to work with you again.

Booked 1 night with Groupon and added on an extra night so glad we did. Reception staff pleasant polite and pleased to assist. A standard room was better than a lot of the executive rooms we have stayed in. Lovely large room, french windows onto a pleasant balcony, really comfy bed, immaculate bathroom, dressing gowns slippers, nice flat screened telly {well positioned] and free wi fi .

Ate in the restaurant and the Dolly Blue Bar. Both meals were very enjoyable. The same staff worked in both and were great , they work really hard and are gave 100% they appeared short staffed at breakfast on the Sunday morning and they worked flat out with good grace inspite of the usual grumpy guests who seem to critisise for the sake of it

The location is superb it is a pleasure to sit in the bar and watch the river gushing by.

Groupon voucher holders that have not been yet you are in for a treat. It is certainly one for a return visit. Well worth the rack rate

Our stay was booked via Groupon, great value for money. We upgraded our room to an executive room which had a balcony, jacuzzi bath and as we were on the end we had fabulous views all round overlooking the river. Had afternoon cream tea in the dolly blue bar which had lovely views over the river.

We used the pool facilities which were really nice and clean. The hotel itself is nice and spacious with comfortable seating areas. Breakfast was nice, full english with selection of fruit juices, fresh fruit, cereals and pastries, service was a little slow, but if you are not in a hurry then who cares.

Location is picture postcard, will be returning.

Having just returned from a stay at this wonderfully located hotel I am sure I will be back to visit! The hotel is still under-going a major refurbishment which I was warned about before my stay, and it is clear to see that when these refurbishments are complete the hotel will be transformed into a light and airy, upmarket venue with fantastic views.

The main restaurant was closed on this occasion due to the works but my colleague and I dined in the newly refurbished “Dolly Blue” bar. This has been tastefully redesigned and is all completely new. It sits right next to the waters edge and is such a great location. We had some stunning food which we were not expecting so that was an added bonus. It was a shame it was quite quiet but given the time of year I guess that was to be expected. I can´t wait to go back in the summer and drink a nice pint of cider sat by the river there!

The cascades Spa is an awesome set up too, with a huge heated pool, lovely hot Sauna and Jacuzzi. Most hotels I go to you have to ask to have the Sauna turned on and by the time its gets hot enough it is always too late! The staff in here were very friendly and courteous and the shop inside was convenient too.

My room was superb, this also overlooked the river and it had a small balcony too. The beds were really comfy and the bathroom very nicely appointed. There was even a spa bath which I didn´t use but it was a nice touch. I would definitely use it if I came back on a leisure break.

All in all I had a great stay and was pleased my company sent me to this place. I had not heard of it before but I will definitely return. I did read other reviews when I heard I was going to be sent here and I must say some of the reviews do not do this place justice! As I mentioned before, they are still going through a major refurb. but I was told this would be finished by mid March. I would recommend anybody to give this place a try, I will certainly be going back.

Obviously the hotel has recently been updated, so if you fancy looking and feeling 10 years younger? Then forget about going under the knife! Just go to the Whitewater Hotel for the 2 day mini-pamper break, we thought we’d died and gone to heaven!
The food was superb, nothing was to much trouble for the staff, they were very happy, helpful, friendly and smartly dressed especially on reception! The hotel was very clean and bright, the pampering… well you will have to find out for yourselves! The only down side was having to leave! We were so impressed that we’re going back in August, can’t wait!

Great place to stay, we were given a wonderful 4 poster suite room with fantastic view over the river and even a bottle of chilled champagne waiting in the room… large room with sofa area and great bathroom with jacuzzi.

The bar area inside and out was also quite cool, very nice place to chill out with a glass of wine and a beer and watch the river go by. Very comfortable leather sofa’s upstairs which we had to ourselves one evening. Their fish and chips was great also… no complaints at all.

The whole experience was fantastic, from the wonderful four poster room, the food and drink and also the spa treatments, I couldn’t fault anything over the whole weekend and I will be recommending you to everyone we no.
